These are the hands of Mahmoodi Rait, a woman in advanced pregnancy who recently set herself on fire in an act of despair.
“The only reason she set her on fire was because of the terrible conditions in the camp,” says Mahmoodi’s husband.
The woman is still in the hospital, the husband stayed in the tent with their three children: 7, 5 and 1.5 years old.
The police accused her of setting the camp on fire, which formally belongs to the Greek government.
