What have we achieved in just 5 years?

Since 2016, we have organized dozens of online and live projects. It all started with the creation of IslamistaBlog.pl, which within two years became the largest website in Polish devoted to raising awareness about Islam and the basis for creating one of the largest Polish online communities discussing these issues.

We were informing about religion, human rights, migration, the media and actions for peace not only through social media but also during events, training and workshops organized by us.

During the five years of the Islamista Blog existence, we managed to organize the largest events in Poland devoted to refugees (Rethinking Refugees) and Islam (Rethinking Islam) in cooperation with Sindhuja Sankaran Ph.D. and Karolina Czerska-Shaw Ph.D. from the Jagiellonian University:

We received thanks from the Embassy of New Zealand in the Republic of Poland for organizing a Solidarity Evening with the Muslim community in Krakow after the attacks in Christchurch. We were there wherever help was needed for victims of hate crimes – in cooperation with Centrum Pomocy Prawnej im. Haliny Nieć in Krakow or Adam Bodnar’s Office of the Polish Ombudsman, we have helped dozens of injured people. Tens of thousands of people participated in our virtual educational projects, and thousands of participants took part in the “Empathy and multiculturalism” educational program we developed. We work with numerous international and local organizations to build a better, more friendly and open society.

After 5 years of activity, we decided to expand our blog – by creating Salam Lab, we want to show that we are doing something much bigger. Currently, in addition to developing existing projects and publishing information on an ongoing basis (in Polish and English), we are also co-coordinators of the Multicultural Center of the City of Krakow.

We want to continue our work. Let’s build peace together – support us via Patronite!
